  Music Review!
Asobi Seksu - Citrus

First off, I have to say that this is one amazing CD. I've been reading John Allison's Scary-Go-Round for the past couple of days (an amazing webcomic should you be looking for one) and noticed he was doing a review of his top 20 albums of the year. He had only done up to number thirteen, but sitting at number sixteen was a band called Asobi Seksu. I read the little blurb he wrote about them...

"What on earth is the lady in Asobi Seksu singing about? It could be Japanese, or Moon-man language, or she just might be over-excited. It's probably just rude so she's singing it in a way her mum cannot understand. She need not worry because no one's mum likes shoegazing music. Mums are not up for sonic cathedrals and effects pedals."
After reading this, I decided "What the hell, this is an amazing comic, I'll give it a shot." All I can say is that I was blown away with how good this CD is. I haven't liked a band this much since I first heard Tapes 'n Tapes (which is another amazing band). And they kick some serious ass.

One of the best things about this band is the singer Yuki. Her ability to sing at such a high tone and then flawlessly sing in English then switch to Japanese is amazing. Not to take any credit away from the actual band or anything. Because they are some of the most talented musicians I have heard in a while. When I listen to the song "Exotic Animal Paradise" (Track 11), I'm reminded of the band Godspeed You! Black Emperor. I'm actually reminded of them a lot thoughout this album. Which makes me like it all the more.

I can't say enough good things about this CD. If you like music in general, you should listen to this.

Score: 13 out of 10

  A Review Schmorgusborge!!

Blood +
Ask anyone, I am the biggest vampire fan around. So when I heard about Blood + and its’ blood orientated plot, I hopped on the band wagon. And as richly rewarded! The tomboy Saya was an akward archetype at first glance but along the grew on me. Suffering from amnesia, Saya remembers nothing of her past, and has accepted her life with her adoptive family - Kai ( a cute punk boy), Riku ( the sweet younger brother), and their adopted father George. Saya soon encounters a cello playing man. Almost immediately after encountering this mysterious man, monsters start showing up! Saya encounters the first “mouse” at her school. The cello man named Hachi appears and gives her a sword, along with his blood! Saya lapses into a trance and slays the monster with her sword , which is coated in her blood. Saya learns of the existence of a group called "Red Shield", which is in charge of eliminating these monsters. This leads off into a parade of fights and dilemmas! Who does Saya have more feelings for? Kai, or Hachi? What does her past hide? Who is behind the rise in monster sightings and attacks? If you’re dieing to knowthe answers, then definitely check this anime out! You wont be disappointed!
RowdyRukia gives it a 5 out of 5 ^^ for great storyline!

Beat Crusaders : Pop on Arrival
Anyone new to J-pop should definitely pick this album up. The addictive rhythm will have you singing along…even if you don’t know the words! (like me). Their track titled Tonight, Tonight, Tonight does not make it onto this cd but has been made the opening for the popular anime Bleach in episodes 77-97. You know you’ve made it big when one of your tracks made it onto a awesome anime! In Pop on Arrival, make sure you take a listen to tracks 2,3,9, and 15! These top my list! Rock on people!!

Jing: King of Bandits
Probably one of the coolest and funniest anime I’ve seen so far. Take a peek at the new 3 disc collection which costs only 30 bucks if you’re looking for intrigue! Containing 13 episodes, Jing and his sidekick Kir will have you glued to your seats. Jing is “the man” with his cool and suave attitude. While his partner Kir plays the woman crazy sidekick. Every episode is packed with a new and exciting adventure of thievery with the two of them. And with all good anime, a cute and sexy lass plays tag along in nearly all of them. So if you’re looking for a good time, check this re-distributed version of Jing: King of Bandits out!!
RowdyRukia gives it a 5 our of 5 for pure cleverness!
